WOW! The new book from Michel De Trez and Tyler Elliot arrived today!
“Utah Beach – Fighting our way ashore – With the 2nd Naval Battalion” is a huge 752 pages volume detailing the events that happened on Utah Beach on the morning of 6th of June 1944, D-Day, by this often overlooked unit.
As expected, the book features hundreds of never before published pictures, maps and artefacts, thoroughly researched and presented in a beautiful way. These books are worth their weight in gold. Happy to add it to my big De Trez collection! I know that I will be reading and studying this book for weeks now.

Michel De Trez did a phenomenal job in the writing of this book. Though we were at the original book signing during the 80th Anniversary, D-Day celebrations, we bought one for our daughter and grandson while there, and they treasure the book and all the information contained therein. Hats off to Michel and his team for a job marvellously well done!

I have the book for about 2 months now, and I am still studying it, going through it, studying the pictures…there is so much to discover, and I have learned so much already. It is a very interesting story that you are telling us through the book, very well done.

“Utah Beach – Fighting Our Way Ashore.” The first copies of the book were brought ashore by Navy SEALs in a commemorative landing at 6:30 AM on D-Day + 80 years under a magnificent light and were presented to 150 descendants of veterans from the 2nd Naval Beach Battalion, honoring their legacy and bravery.
The event was witnessed by 30,000 spectators who gathered in the early morning to pay tribute to the heroes of Utah Beach. It was broadcast by 11 television networks, ensuring that the legacy of those who fought and died on D-Day continues to inspire future generations.
You can now purchase your personal copy of “Utah Beach – Fighting Our Way Ashore” and delve into the detailed accounts of bravery and sacrifice that defined D-Day.
This book is a must-have for anyone interested in World War II history, providing an intimate look at the challenges and triumphs faced by the soldiers who stormed Utah Beach.
Don’t miss the opportunity to own a piece of this monumental tribute.
